Nijinsky, by Auckland based artist Sriwhana Spong, is a re-imagining of George Balanchine's ballet masterpiece, The Song of the Nightingale, of which only fragments of a video of the ballet, Stravinsky's score and photographs of the costumes remain. Spong has produced collages utilising stills from the video and found ballet photography to remember the ballet masterpiece. This stunning little volume arrives courtesy of Michael Lett (Auckland) and Clouds (Auckland).
112 pages, 15 x 20 cm, softcover, Clouds (Auckland) & Michael Lett (Auckland).
