Osamu Yokonami's Mizugi is the first publication in the Seasons Series – a quarterly book series in which a unified curated category of artists cumulate under one and the same provision, however with changing perceptions from each artist’s particulate frame of reference.

The series draws inspiration from South Korean film director Kim Ki-duk’s majestic filmmaking of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring, which follows a protagonist through the shifting seasons.

Osamu's series, Mizugi, portrays the anticipation of springtime: full of promise, but also unreliable. These photographs trace a group of young swimmers braving the not quite warm temperatures over the course of a day, and reveal glimmers of sunlight.

32 pages, 27.5 x 21.5 cm, hardcover, Libraryman (Paris).
