Jongno host is a photobook bringing together photographs taken with an iPhone across Jongno, Seoul, from 2017 to 2025. The book traces the landscapes, sensations, and fragments of time accumulated through one person’s long experience of living in the same city.
Every scene begins in Jongno. The artist lived and worked there, walking the same routes each day. Rather than following a specific plan or purpose, the photographs emerged from moments when her gaze unexpectedly came to rest. The stream near her home, the fountain in front of Cheong Wa Dae, familiar alleyways and bus interiors, people on the street, discarded objects, and fleeting traces of light gradually became images.
