Issue 6 of Bauhaus is dedicated to the discursive work of the famous Bahaus artist Oskar Schlemmer, who is due to be rediscovered by museums worldwide in 2014. Instrumental in the development of several workshops in Weimar and Dessau, making the Bauhaus stage a theatre-laboratory with international meaning, Schlemmer was also one of the groundbreaking painters of the 20th century and therefore had a huge influence on the image of thenew human. This magazine traces all modes of Schlemmer's work, from painting, the production of his renowned play Das Triadische Ballet (Triadic Ballet), costume design and architecture.
