An intimate portrait of friendship and metamorphosis taken over a decade and a half, Dancing on the Fault Line is centred around Love Bailey and her extended queer community. Equally an entertainer and activist, Bailey is based in Temecula – a notably conservative region of Southern California – where she founded the Savage Ranch, a desert-based safe house, residence, and gathering place for friends, family, and extended members of the LGBT+ community.
Presented in chronological order from 2010 to 2024, the book follows Bailey from California to New York and back as she traces her simultaneous journey of self awareness and discovery. Beneath moments of provocation and extravagance, is a story of resilience and perseverance.
