Perimeter is excited to present the launch of Wouter Van de Voorde – Death is not here (Void), taking place at 4pm–6pm, Saturday January 21 at Perimeter HQ (734 High St, Thornbury). The launch will include an artist talk between Wouter and Damien Laing, with a signing by the artist and a casual celebration to follow. All are welcome!
Pre-orders for Death is not here will be available to collect at the launch.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Death is not here combines disparate photographs created by artist Wouter Van de Voorde. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, he was about to become a father for the second time. He had been making still lifes with fossils, and in his spare time he had begun digging in the backyard with his son unearthing the grave of a family chicken. Photographs of subsequent excavations, rock sculptures, an eroded gorge and an ongoing preoccupation with ravens are combined to create a new narrative representing everyday encounters between life and death.
Wouter Van de Voorde is a Belgian-born, Australia-based visual artist. He lives with his family on Ngunnawal land in Canberra, Australia.
