Perimeter x Libraryman
Perimeter is thrilled to host an exhibition of limited-edition offset printed posters by Libraryman (Stockhom/Paris) — the first in a series of small exhibitions at Perimeter throughout the year. The exhibition, which will open on Saturday, March 3 and run until April 1, features the work of six internationally renowned photographers, including Francois Halard, Osamu Yokonami, Gunnar Smoliansky, Takashi Homma, Ron Jude and Gerry Johansson.
Founded by Swedish art director and designer Tony Cederteg, Libraryman places its focus on limited-edition photobooks. Working with an eclectic mix of early, mid and late-career artists from Europe, North America and Japan, the imprint pays specific attention to print and production values that one might suggest are rivalled only by master German printer and publisher Gerhard Steidl. Pared back in their design languages and at once cinematic and intimate in their scope, Libraryman’s books are finely edited and sequenced, and are incredibly realised as works and as objects.
Recent highlights from the catalogue include Vincent Ferrané’s Milky Way, which sold out of its first edition in less than a month, and celebrated French photographer François Halard’s Saul Leiter, which intimately describes the East Village apartment and studio of the legendary late photographer and artist with whom the book shares its title. Libraryman’s catalogue has also played host to highly regarded titles by the likes of Viviane Sassen, Takashi Homma, Gerry Johannson, Hal Hartley, Ron Jude and more.
To purchase a poster, please visit us in store from March 3 or email hello@perimeterbooks.com.
