About Bibliophily:
D’Ark Room’s first exhibition of the year, Bibliophily, introduces nine international publishers devoted to creating beautiful books. Through publications shaped by their distinct perspectives and values, these publishers continually share diverse human experiences and stories of the world. For this exhibition, D’Ark Room has been newly arranged around their representative titles and recent publications, creating a space for encounters between books and readers.
Books transcend time and place, connecting people and enabling mutual understanding. They are the fruits of our era—holding both essential values worth preserving and emerging currents of the present. The publishers selected for this exhibition work across photography, architecture, art, and graphic design, carefully balancing their specialized disciplines with the book as a universal medium. Though based far apart, they are companions walking their own paths with shared sensibilities. Through exchanges with publishers who remain faithful to their own voices, stories, and attitudes, this exhibition offers an opportunity to listen closely to contemporary narratives and to rediscover who we are, here and now.
In 2026, we open a wide window to think together about ‘the act of making beautiful books’. We hope that a fresh spring breeze, carried through books, will awaken something within us. Amid the noise of the world, may we quietly drop anchor at the center of our lives. D’Ark Room warmly invites all who seek a deeper, more reflective time in the company of books.
