Their work is informed by their family’s deep spiritual and cultural connections to the land and seas of Quandamooka Country. Sonja works specifically in the medium of fibre basketry and woven sculpture, and focuses on the regeneration of traditional weaving techniques. Elisa Jane (Leecee) Carmichael is a multi-disciplinary artist who works across the mediums of painting, textiles, and weaving.
